Arrival — Reykjavík

Welcome to Iceland. Bike pickup, gear check and welcome briefing, followed by a group dinner in the capital to meet your guides and fellow riders.

Need to know

Riding level - Medium/High

Off-road experience required. You should be comfortable riding long days, standing on the pegs on loose gravel and rocks, as well as willing to tackle river crossings.

Weather

August is the optimal window. Expect anything from sun to horizontal rain in a single day — waterproof gear is non-negotiable.

Insurance

Comprehensive travel and riding insurance is mandatory, covering off-road riding, remote rescue and medical evacuation.

The bikes

Triumph FE-450. Fully-maintained, fitted with long range tanks. Fuel included.

Group size

Maximum 10 riders per group plus professional guides and a support vehicle.

Frequently asked

Yes — if you are confident with off-road basics. Horn to Horn is demanding but our guides adapt the pace and lines to the group. If you are unsure, get in touch and we'll talk it through honestly.

No. Logistically speaking it is complicated for us and for you to bring your own bike to Iceland. But no worries, our fleet is fully serviced by professional mechanics and fuel is included.

Every crossing gets a briefing first to avoid this situations. But in any case, our guides carry tools to solve issues related with drowned bikes.

No. International flights are not included in the tour fare. However, in the Iceland - Horn to Horn trip, we do book for you a ticket for an internal flight connecting a remote town where the tour ends/starts and Akureyri.

A deliberate mix: hotels with full facilities on some nights and basic mountain lodges deep in the highlands on others. Full expectations are shared before departure.
