Small groups of no more than 10 riders, Triumph enduro bikes and full support across the highlands.
Our Iceland off-road tours are designed for experienced riders looking for real enduro terrain. This isn't a road trip with the odd gravel stretch. Most of every day is spent off the asphalt, on tracks that are only open for a few months each summer.
Every group is limited to 10 riders. You ride a prepared Triumph TF 450-E, with an experienced guide leading the way and a support vehicle carrying tools, spare parts and your luggage. It's a demanding adventure, but a fully supported one: we take care of the details so you can focus on the riding.
A note on off-road: in Iceland, the term means unpaved roads and highland tracks. Riding across open terrain is illegal, and every one of our routes follows legal, marked tracks.
For us, premium doesn't mean luxury for its own sake. It means taking away everything that stands between you and great riding.
Off-road riding in Iceland is unlike anything else in Europe or the world. Same as the weather, surfaces can change several times in a single day, so you need to be prepare to adapt to all of them.
Gravel and corrugated tracks
Long stretches of loose gravel, often rutted and corrugated. The key skill is holding a steady pace while standing on the pegs.
Black sand and pumice
Soft volcanic sand that rewards a light front end and smooth throttle control. It can be tiring, and conditions change quickly with rain or strong wind.
Lava tracks
Rough, rocky trails across old lava flows. Progress is slower here, and the sharp, uneven ground calls for careful line choice.
River crossings
Unbridged rivers fed by glaciers and snowmelt. Depth and current change throughout the day, so the guide checks every crossing before anyone rides in. Line choice can make between riding through safely or drowning the bike.
Changing conditions
Rain, wind and cold can turn an easy section into a demanding one within hours. Adapting as you go is part of the challenge.
These tours are built for riders who want a real off-road challenge. You don't need to be an expert, but you need solid basics.

We ride the Triumph TF 450-Enduro, a light and powerful enduro bike built for technical terrain. Each bike is prepared for off-road riding before every tour, with knobby tyres, mousses, handguards, long range fuel tanks and adjusted to each rider during the first briefing.
We chose a competition-grade enduro bike over a heavy adventure tourer for a simple reason: We are riders, we love riding, and nothing is more fun than an enduro bike. It's light, responsive and makes every stretch of sand, gravel and river part of the enjoyment rather than something to get through.

A full crossing of Iceland by enduro bike, from Reykjavík to the north-easternmost tip of the island.
A loop through the southwestern highlands.
They're designed for experienced off-road riders. Expect long days on gravel, sand and lava tracks, with regular river crossings. If you're unsure about your level, tell us about your riding and we'll give you an honest answer.
In a sense, yes: you ride a lightweight enduro motorcycle on unpaved terrain all day. But unlike a typical trail ride, our Iceland dirt bike tours are multi-day expeditions on legal highland tracks, with a support vehicle and accommodation included.
A good level of fitness helps. Riding standing up on loose terrain for several hours a day is physically demanding, and the cold and wind add to the effort. Regular training in the months before the tour makes a real difference.
Full off-road protection: helmet, gloves, goggles, boots, knee guards and body armour, plus waterproof layers. Our packing guide for enduro tours in Iceland lists everything in detail.
Adventure motorbike tours usually use large touring bikes and spend most of their time on asphalt or easy gravel. Our tours use light enduro bikes and spend most of each day off-road.
Each tour takes a maximum of 10 riders.
